Binz & Kunka Picked for Medals Friday Afternoon

11:30 AM PST - Alpine Skiing
After Lindsay Vonn's crash yesterday in the Super Combined, Ellis Kunka and his Cornballers team hope to rebound in the Men's Super G with a gold from American Bode Miller. He's not favored, but Bode Miller is my pick for gold. I think the difference will be the maturity Miller has gained by accidentally getting someone pregnant during a random hookup.
Aksel Lund Svindal of Norway (John Binz/Da Nang Dynamos) is my choice for silver. Svindal is a two-time winner of the Alpine Skiing World Cup and is probably the best skier in the world right now.

Didier Cuche of Switzerland (Joy Sadaly/Olympic Ring Worm Wood Stock Market District Attorney), the 2009 world champion in the Super G, is my choice for bronze. Also a threat to medal is any other Swiss guy named Didier.

1 PM PST - Cross Country Skiing
Cross country skiing continues with the women's 15k pursuit. My choice for gold is Justyna Kowalczyk of Poland (Brittany B./Buck-Toothed Rabbit Bitches), who already has a silver at the Games. What a sight it would be to see another athlete with a non-plus sign flag standing atop the podium in cross country.

Charlotte Kalla of Sweden (Brian Schwartz/Nordique Combined) is my pick for silver. I feel like by choosing the name Charlotte her parents were explicitly hoping their daughter would not be an athlete, but the resilient skier has overcome all odds.

Marit Bjørgen of Norway (Zach Chromiak/Banker's Club) is my pick for bronze. It would just be madness to predict a total shutout for the Rognes IL ski club. Aino-Kaisa Saarinen of Finland (Tim Lavoie/Fightin' Ovechkins has been shut out in individual medals so far but is also a threat in the pursuit.
