Analysis: This is a very deep and talented squad, Vonn injury or not. Manager Ellis Kunka got the last pick in the pivotal first round, but he made the most of it with Netherlands Speed Skating, the top team in a 100 point sport. USA Alpine and China Short Track are each the second best teams in major sports as well. I also like the Canada figure skating pick. Take the home team in a judged sport plagued by scandals. Finland Ice Hockey is a great value pick in Round 8, with a chance to medal on both the men's and women's side.

Cornballers used a very similar strategy to Da Nang Dynamos by emphasizing the 100 point sports. By the end, Cornballers had to settle for squads like Korea Bobsleigh and Austria Skeleton that are quite unlikely to medal. But they could have enough points in the big events that it won't matter. Still, unless Finland pulls off the hockey gold, I think draft position will doom this solid team to a #3 or #4 finish.
